Working has an intrinsic value. I work intuitively. I enjoy the process of art. My technique reflects the breakdown of space, shape, and texture. My love of nature, spirit of freedom, and joy is reflected in my work. There is a tension between representationalism and abstraction. I attempt to express a spirit of freedom and a joy of nature in my work. The sumi-e' pieces have a particular spontaneous energy.

I have always had a love of nature, and I hope this is reflected in my work for the viewer to enjoy. I've been fortunate to travel and experience the natural beauty of this earth. Each facet of nature has its own unique beauty and character, and a I hope the viewer enjoys my vision.
